Are you interested in co-hosting with us live on the show? If so, you will need to download and setup a program called "Mumble". We have purchased server space that allows up to 10 users to speak at the same time, and this comes at no cost to you, the viewer.

1. After downloading the latest version of Mumble, open it to begin the installation. The following screen, give or take a few changes, should appear. Let's click NEXT to continue!

Once you have read the ENTIRE agreement and committed every detail to memory, CHECKMARK, with confidence, the "I Accept the terms in the License Agreement", and click NEXT to continue.

You probably won't be needing anything changed here, so just click NEXT.

Now click INSTALL.

Make sure you CHECKMARK "Start Mumble" then click FINISH.

Now to set up the audio stuff. Click NEXT.

Before you do anything, please UNCHECK "Enable positional audio". Now, this screen will likely look different from computer to computer. Your playback device is likely to be your computer speakers, though you may have a USB headset attached that you might want to use. In that case, use the drop-down menu to find it. It is unlikely that you have more than one microphone attached to your computer, so the first choice for recording should be all you need.

Just click next here.

Read the on-screen directions here to help you find the right balance of your voice and microphone volume. Click NEXT when you're satisfied with the results.

This step is important. Please CHECK "Push to Talk". Then click the box to the right of it.

It should look like the image below. Simply click in it once, then press a key (or mouse button) that you would like to press and hold whenever you would like your voice heard on Mumble. Otherwise, you will be completely muted, which is exactly what we want. Click NEXT when you're all set.

The name of the key you press will appear in the box. Once you have it set to your liking, click NEXT.

CHECKMARK "Disable Text-to-Speech and use sounds instead" to disable the annoying'ness when co-hosting. Then click NEXT.

Whether or not you would like to send anonymous tips is up to you. Click FINISH when you're ready.

Leave "Automatic certification" checked in and click NEXT.

Then click FINISH.

Don't be intimidated with all of the incoming text on the screen. It means nothing to us. Simply click the ADD NEW... button.

From this window, you will need to change all four fields. Fill it out using the following:

  • Label

(go ahead and use The TomBobBlender Show for this one. It doesn't really matter what you put here, but it keeps things organized.}

  • Address

(you must use mumble.tombobblender.com in order to connect to the server.')'

  • Port

(at this time, the current port number is 2031 - this must match exactly.)

  • Username

(while not required, it is highly recommended you use your chat username. It helps us identify who you are.)

The results should look something, if not, completely identical, to the image below. The only thing that should be different is the Username. Click OK when you're confident on the information you've provided.

Now click CONNECT

Then click YES

If you see your username on the list, you've done it!
