==Code of Conduct==
----
+
A general summarization of our community guidelines and rules have been reduced to these brief points we would like to refer to as the Code of Conduct. We also informally refer them to our Pledge.

 +
==='''Protect your Identity and Privacy'''===
 +
We respect your privacy and will never ask for your age, location, or other identifiable questions. If you are ever asked these questions, please refuse to answer them. We will never ask for and encourage you to never share your e-mail address, home address, school name, phone numbers, family details, work information, or other identifying details.

This is a list of rules and guidelines for The TomBobBlender Show Community. Due to the nature of online communities and people in general, this is not a strict list of what is punishable, but rather a list of what is, in general, expected of our members and anyone participating in the show. Because of this, interpretation of our rules and what is bannable is up to the discretion of the moderation team with the final word on all issues coming from Tom himself.
+
==='''Communicate with Integrity'''===
 +
We encourage you to be your best self and to individualize your experience with us. Think before you speak and communicate in a way that everyone can enjoy. Demonstrate consistent respect for one another regardless of the circumstances and keep your language and comments appropriate for all ages at all times. Avoid posting for the mere purpose of doing so. Gaining a reputable reputation in the community is key to inspire long-term growth and integrity from others.

== Rules ==
+
==='''Respect Community Representatives'''===
==== Inappropriate Language ====
+
Moderators are obligated to enforce rules, regulate conversations, maintain order and ensure safety of all who participate. Never obstruct their ability to contact you. They are to be respected at all times without consequence and will not engage in public disputes. Their decisions are final. They are consistently evaluated on their performance and must act professionally. If you feel you were treated unfairly by a moderator or that your punishment was met in error, please contact the stream host in private.
Inappropriate language, meaning any language that is commonly found offensive, is not tolerated. Measures have been taken to ensure common such language is taken care of automatically and you will be removed from the community for any infractions of this rule.
+

 +
==='''Avoid Interruptive Text Habits'''===
 +
We take great pride in our collective support for a community of all ages. In doing so, we mandate protocols that best reflect what is acceptable and appropriate for all. We are quite lenient with our expressive community, but do pose regulations and are always followed up with consequences. You do not need to be loud in order to be noticed. Broadly speaking, we ask that you avoid flooding, excessive caps or symbols and emoji, and repeating yourself. We do ask you to, of course, use language appropriate for all ages.

==== Disruptive Behavior ====
+
==='''Show Your Best Among the Rest'''===
Any behavior that causes a significant amount of unrest or disruption in the community is prohibited. A few examples are bullying, flooding, spamming, and flaming, though such behavior is not exclusively limited to these categories.
+
We always welcome new community members with the intent of them joining us long-term. While the purpose to join is rarely malicious, it can happen. If you are witness to any negative behavior, reach out to an active moderator. Do not talk rudely to them or to anyone else for that matter. It is best to not draw attention to them. Rather, display self-control and ignore them. For this reason, we also do not discuss bans or timeouts of other members publicly. Rather, demonstrate great etiquette and behavior and always give us your best that we all deserve.
 +

 +
==='''Show Respect to Be Respected'''===
 +
We aspire to be a drama-free community. We hold exceptionally-high behavioral expectations regardless of your age or experience. We dismiss any toxicity, bullying, belittling or threats of harm to ones self both directly and indirectly or towards other members. Everyone deserves the chance to feel welcome and respected, but we also believe that the exchange must be mutual. If you act out of what is expected of you, you may be removed with or without warning. Use this time to reflect on what went wrong and how we can help you to improve. To be respected, you must show respect.

==== URLs ====
+
==Community Guidelines==
The posting of URLs in the community chatroom is limited to approval by a chatroom operator and must be "safe for work." You are responsible for the content on the website at the posted URL.
+
Please become familiar with our community guidelines which are in place to ensure the general safety and well-being of our community. They should be practiced in all facets of your life, especially on the internet. If you are asked to stop and do not, an infraction or removal from the community could occur.

==== Privacy ====
+
==='''Hate Speech'''===
Every user has a right to privacy, so posting sensitive information about another user is prohibited and is a serious offense. No tolerance is given for violation of this rule.
+
Hate speech is not tolerated on The TomBobBlender Show under any circumstances. Any derogatory or insulting comment that is directed at a specific group of people may be considered hate speech. Any comment perceived by the owner or the moderator to be derogatory or insulting to people based on discrimination including but not limited to race, age, sexuality, physical characteristics, gender identity, disability, military service, religion and/or nationality will be considered hate speech.

==== Piracy ====
+
==='''Harassment'''===
Due to anti-piracy laws in the United States, the sharing of warez and warez sources is strictly prohibited in this community.
+
Bullying and harassment are not tolerated on The TomBobBlender Show. This may include, but is not limited to, using clips, audio files or out of context quotes to mock or make fun of another community member. using multiple accounts to evade channel bans, insisting users harm themselves in some way or other unwanted inappropriate comments. If you are feeling the need to self harm, please consider contacting the suicide hotline at 1-800-273-8255.

==== Accounts and Nicknames ====
+
==='''Threats'''===
While in the community, you may not have any alternate accounts designed to disguise or decieve and only one account may be active at any given time. The use of multple accounts to evade bans is a serious offense and any abuse associated with proxies or vhosts will be reported to the chat network staff.
+
Do NOT threaten other people. This includes threats of harm to others, threats of swatting, threats of doxing, threats of DDoS and threats of harassment. We understand that threatening to kill someone in a competitive game is part of gameplay, but at no point should anyone wonder whether you're joking, and do not make those kinds of threats outside of gaming context.

== Ban Policies ==
+
==='''Impersonation'''===
Standard ban policy is a 15 minute ban for the first offense and double the last ban time for any bans thereafter, unless the offense merits a different punishment.
+
Do not impersonate staff or other community members. Having similar names is not automatically impersonation but should be avoided especially if one of the users is owner, moderator or other "known" personality.

Getting yourself banned in order to leave the chatroom for any reason unless done so under the rules of a chatroom game (e.g. Banhammer Roulette) will almost always result in a minimum 24 hour ban. This is under the reasoning that the banned user does not expect to return any time soon and would not be affected by a standard ban.
+
==='''Ban Discussion'''===
 +
The discussion of bans, though not strictly prohibited, is highly discouraged as it may provoke heated responses from some chat members. If you have any questions regarding bans, please contact Tom or a chatroom operator. If it is your ban you wish to discuss and you have a complaint about it, please contact Tom.

If you have any concerns, questions, complaints, or feedback, please contact TomBobBlender. We advise you do NOT approach a moderator with such issues.
+
==='''Religion and Politics'''===
 +
Religion and politics are always the topic of debate in the modern world, however, they are also a large soft spot for a lot of people. This makes religion and politics a bad topic for the chatroom as we have users from around the world. Please refrain from such discussions, even in jest, in a public setting.

== Discord and Cohosts ==
+
==='''Complaints Against the Show'''===
=== Permission and Authorization ===
+
If you have any complaints, please do not bring them into the chatroom. Instead, consider contacting Tom or a chatroom operator privately.
All users must be authorized to join the broadcast. You may gain authorization from Tom by asking permission in the stream chatroom (#tombobblender on Discord) before joining the broadcast. Once Tom has give you permission to join, you may join the broadcast. Please do not expect to get permission simply because you asked. Many factors including the current number of cohosts, your knowledge of the current game, your chemistry with current cohosts, and your past cohosting performance may affect Tom's decision and Tom has no obligation to allow you on his show.

=== Push-to-Talk ===
+
==='''Mature Topics'''===
Cohosts without special permissions must use push-to-talk for communication and may only transmit while speaking. This helps reduce background noise from being transmitted on air. Suggested push-to-talk keys are the grave/backtick key, Mouse 3/4/5, or one of your numpad keys. Please do not use typing characters for push-to-talk as it may result in unwanted transmission while typing. USB foot pedals can be purchased to facilitate push-to-talk while playing multiplayer games with the stream.
+
At times, the chatroom discussion may turn to a mature subject. Mature topics are not prohibited in The TomBobBlender Show chatroom, so if you're a parent, we advise carefully monitoring your child's access to the chatroom and even joining them there. To make it easy to participate in the chatroom.

=== Conversation, Language, Tone, and Volume ===
+
==='''Rational Discussion'''===
==== Conversations ====
+
We encourage rational discussion at all times and usually allow conversations of discouraged topics to run if everyone is being civilized. However, if people seem to be getting upset, depending on the circumstances at hand, we may either ask the offended users to look away from the chatroom for a while or we may ask for the conversation to be ended and the subject changed. Please understand that this, in most cases, is not because the subject isn't allowed, but because it is causing problems.
The content of our show is important to us. As such, your conversations must be directly related to the content on the stream. This does not include anecdotes about something that happened while you were playing the game currently being played or reasons why Tom should be playing your favorite game instead. Please also refrain from shifting the topic of the conversation too rapidly or drifting too far off topic. Doing so will disengage our viewers.

If you must have a one-on-one conversation with one of our community members, please do so in text and avoid having the conversation on air. Please do not let side-conversations draw your attention away from the show. Instead, consider asking the other party if you can have the conversation later.
+
== Community Rules ==
 +
These are the official rules for The TomBobBlender Show Community. Become familiar with them and abide by them at all times. Any behavior that contradicts what is stated is subject to infractions or removal, temporary or permanent, from the community. Remember, by participating in our public chat, you have already agreed with everything stated herein. In all situations, the stream owner has the final say in all matters.

==== Language ====
+
==='''Infraction System'''===
Please refrain from vulgar language on air and keep conversations professional. Our show is meant to be viewed by everyone and should offend as few people as reasonably possible. If you wouldn't say something at work or in front of grandma, think twice about saying it here.
+
We employ a three-tier '''infraction system''' for all users in the community. They affect you globally (regardless of the streaming platform in which you are communicating) and are administered daily. Once you reach your third infraction, you are removed from further communication with the community at large for at least one hour. The duration of your removal may be increased or decreased based on review from our moderation team which may be influenced by a repeated behavior or the perceived intentions of them happening again. It is very unlikely to be in excess of 24 hours, as we believe your intentions to improve are motivated. It is also possible that a delivered infraction may be rolled back or removed entirely if the moderation team determines it to be met in error, within reasonable context or simply forgivable. All infractions, forgiven or not, will be documented on your permanent record for future reference and referrals.

==== Tone ====
+
==='''Inappropriate Language'''===
Your tone of voice is important to the tone of the broadcast. Most people don't want to hear offensive tones. Please refrain from expressing intense anger or disappointment on air. Mild frustration at a loss is perfectly acceptable while rage is not.
+
Inappropriate language, meaning any language that is commonly found offensive, is not tolerated. Measures have been taken to ensure common such language is taken care of automatically and you will be removed from the community for any infractions of this rule. For a specific list unacceptable language, click [https://www.tombobblender.com/wiki/Censored here]. The infraction process is automated.

In addition, please do not direct anger at Tom, your fellow cohosts, or other community members. If you find yourself in a state where communication would result in rage or targeted anger, please remove yourself from the broadcast channel.
+
==='''Excessive Caps'''===
 +
We understand the varied levels of excitement our community can have especially in reaction to events happening on stream. While we allow most situations where a user may speak in all caps, it is generally frowned upon and interpreted as rude and obnoxious. You will be penalized with any line of text that carries caps in excess of 35. The infraction process is automated.

==== Volume ====
+
==='''Flooding'''===
Please respect the ears of our viewers and mind your volume. Many of our viewers wear headphones, so you need not project your voice for them to hear you well.
+
We highly encourage you to share your thoughts in full and complete sentences. Please avoid microtransaction responses especially in a series of one- or -two-words. Our flood barrier allows for no more than 5 messages in the time of 3 seconds. The infraction process is automated.

=== Attention ===
+
==='''Repeated Lines'''===
The stream, community, and your fellow cohosts require your full and undivided attention. Please do not engage in other activities while cohosting. While cohosting, you must be viewing the stream, which must be muted to avoid background noise, and you must be paying attention to the chat. Exceptions to this are made for those actively playing multiplayer games with us.
+
We know how important is it to be sure you're heard in an active community. However, there is no need for you to "copy and paste" your message. The stream host actively reads every message and your excessive posting pulls attention away from the legitimate attention of others. You will be penalized for repeated lines in excess of 2. The infraction process is automated.

==== Listening to the Chat ====
+
==='''Excessive Emoji'''===
The chat is just as much a part of the on-air conversation as you are, so please include them. While cohosting, please do not read the chat aloud and avoid commenting on chat statements unless they are particularly noteworthy. Please do try to answer questions made in the chat in a helpful and unoffensive tone.
+
We appreciate emoji and the expressions they provide. They often enhance or replace words and emotions by saying less. However, how emoji barrier will not allow them in excess of 10 per line. The infraction process is automated.

==== Listening to Fellow Cohosts ====
+
==='''S P A C E D Wording'''===
Your fellow cohosts likely wish to speak as well, so please do not hog all of the air-time. Be mindful of other speakers and listen for their voice in case they wish to add to the conversation. On that same token, please be mindful of the current speaker's thought and do not interject where it would be inconvenient for them to return to it.
+
Please communicate your language in words represented in their solid, non-spaced forms. Any word in any context will be infracted. The infraction process is automated.

==== Offensive Behavior and Behind-the-Scenes activity ====
+
==='''Elooooooooongated Characters'''===
Please do not draw attention to offensive behavior or operator activity. We do our best to manage the community so that others can feel safe and welcome. Drawing attention to offensive behavior and the response of our team gives the behavior in question notoriety and credibility and only encourages that behavior in the future.
+
Please minimize your excitement of elongated repeated characters to no more than 10. The infraction process is automated.

=== Reservation to Restrict Cohosting Ability ===
+
==='''ASCII Art'''===
Please understand that your ability to cohost is a privilege that we are not obligated to grant to you. As such, we may opt to not grant this privilege to you or revoke it for any reason.
+
At no time is ASCII art acceptable in our public chats. We welcome this unique form of communication in designated rooms on our Discord server.

== Code of Conduct ==
+
==='''Disruptive Behavior'''===
We at The TomBobBlender Show expect all of our users to behave in a manner that is respectable, reputable, and kind. Unfortunately, some people lack the faculties to properly deduce what that kind of behavior is. Therefore, as an amendment to our rules and policies, we have added a [http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=code%20of%20conduct code of conduct] to inform users of what we expect. Even if you believe you have a firm grasp on what we expect, we encourage you to read it as this is the basis for what constitutes disruptive behavior, though it is not meant to be strictly enforced.
+
Any behavior that causes a significant amount of unrest or disruption in the community is prohibited. A few examples are bullying, flooding, spamming, and flaming, though such behavior is not exclusively limited to these categories.

==== Internet Groups and Fandoms ====
+
==='''URLs'''===
We in the staff of The TomBobBlender Show try our best to be fair and open about all internet groups and fandoms so long as they do not aim to or actually hurt anybody. Be you a trekkie, furry, sailor moon fan, or brony, we'll respect you and your fandom. Therefore, we ask that all of our members do the same. In general, this means holding your tongue when someone brings up a particular fandom you disagree with.
+
The posting of URLs in the community chatroom is limited to approval by a chatroom operator and must be "safe for work." You are responsible for the content on the website at the posted URL.

On that token, we would also like to point out that The TomBobBlender Show Community is not a fan club and although we allow discussions of almost any variety, as long as it's not causing any trouble, we encourage you to not to break the flow of conversation with the subject of your fandom.
+
==='''Right to Privacy'''===
 +
Every user has a right to privacy, so posting or requesting sensitive information of another user is prohibited at all times.

==== Ban Discussion ====
+
==='''Software Piracy'''===

If you have any questions regarding bans, please contact Tom or a chatroom operator. If it is your ban you wish to discuss and you have a complaint about it, please contact Tom.
+
Due to anti-piracy laws in the United States, the sharing of warez and warez sources is strictly prohibited in this community.

+
==='''Accounts and Nicknames'''===
At times, the chatroom discussion may turn to a mature subject. Mature topics are not prohibited in The TomBobBlender Show Chatroom, so if you're a parent, we advise carefully monitoring your child's access to the chatroom and even joining them there. To make it easy to participate in the chatroom, we have setup a Mibbit web IRC client on the website's home page, however, if you would rather use another IRC client, feel free to connect to irc.rizon.net or chat.TomBobBlender.com on port 6667 and join #TomBobBlender.

While in the community, you may not have any alternate accounts designed to disguise or deceive and only one account may be active at any given time. This page will provide you with all of the information you will need to meet all the requirements and expectations we have established for our online community.

Code of Conduct

A general summarization of our community guidelines and rules have been reduced to these brief points we would like to refer to as the Code of Conduct. We also informally refer them to our Pledge.

Protect your Identity and Privacy

We respect your privacy and will never ask for your age, location, or other identifiable questions. If you are ever asked these questions, please refuse to answer them. We will never ask for and encourage you to never share your e-mail address, home address, school name, phone numbers, family details, work information, or other identifying details.

Communicate with Integrity

We encourage you to be your best self and to individualize your experience with us. Think before you speak and communicate in a way that everyone can enjoy. Demonstrate consistent respect for one another regardless of the circumstances and keep your language and comments appropriate for all ages at all times. Avoid posting for the mere purpose of doing so. Gaining a reputable reputation in the community is key to inspire long-term growth and integrity from others.

Respect Community Representatives

Moderators are obligated to enforce rules, regulate conversations, maintain order and ensure safety of all who participate. Never obstruct their ability to contact you. They are to be respected at all times without consequence and will not engage in public disputes. Their decisions are final. They are consistently evaluated on their performance and must act professionally. If you feel you were treated unfairly by a moderator or that your punishment was met in error, please contact the stream host in private.

Avoid Interruptive Text Habits

We take great pride in our collective support for a community of all ages. In doing so, we mandate protocols that best reflect what is acceptable and appropriate for all. We are quite lenient with our expressive community, but do pose regulations and are always followed up with consequences. You do not need to be loud in order to be noticed. Broadly speaking, we ask that you avoid flooding, excessive caps or symbols and emoji, and repeating yourself. We do ask you to, of course, use language appropriate for all ages.

Show Your Best Among the Rest

We always welcome new community members with the intent of them joining us long-term. While the purpose to join is rarely malicious, it can happen. If you are witness to any negative behavior, reach out to an active moderator. Do not talk rudely to them or to anyone else for that matter. It is best to not draw attention to them. Rather, display self-control and ignore them. For this reason, we also do not discuss bans or timeouts of other members publicly. Rather, demonstrate great etiquette and behavior and always give us your best that we all deserve.

Show Respect to Be Respected

We aspire to be a drama-free community. We hold exceptionally-high behavioral expectations regardless of your age or experience. We dismiss any toxicity, bullying, belittling or threats of harm to ones self both directly and indirectly or towards other members. Everyone deserves the chance to feel welcome and respected, but we also believe that the exchange must be mutual. If you act out of what is expected of you, you may be removed with or without warning. Use this time to reflect on what went wrong and how we can help you to improve. To be respected, you must show respect.

Community Guidelines

Please become familiar with our community guidelines which are in place to ensure the general safety and well-being of our community. Any behavior that causes a significant amount of unrest or disruption in the community is prohibited. A few examples are bullying, flooding, spamming, and flaming, though such behavior is not exclusively limited to these categories.

URLs

The posting of URLs in the community chatroom is limited to approval by a chatroom operator and must be "safe for work." You are responsible for the content on the website at the posted URL.

Right to Privacy

Every user has a right to privacy, so posting or requesting sensitive information of another user is prohibited at all times.

Software Piracy

Due to anti-piracy laws in the United States, the sharing of warez and warez sources is strictly prohibited in this community.

Accounts and Nicknames

While in the community, you may not have any alternate accounts designed to disguise or deceive and only one account may be active at any given time. The use of multiple accounts to evade bans is never allowed and any abuse associated with proxies or vhosts will be reported to the chat network staff.

Thank you for your interest in cohosting with us. We handle all of our co-hosting efforts through Discord. For a complete list of our rules and sign-up procedures, please visit our #rules page from within our server by clicking here.
