Community Guidelines

Please become familiar with our community guidelines which are in place to ensure the general safety and well-being of our community. They should be practiced in all facets of your life, especially on the internet. If you are asked to stop and do not, an infraction or removal from the community could occur.

Hate Speech

Hate speech is not tolerated on The TomBobBlender Show under any circumstances. Any derogatory or insulting comment that is directed at a specific group of people may be considered hate speech. Any comment perceived by the owner or the moderator to be derogatory or insulting to people based on discrimination including but not limited to race, age, sexuality, physical characteristics, gender identity, disability, military service, religion and/or nationality will be considered hate speech.

Harassment

Bullying and harassment are not tolerated on The TomBobBlender Show. This may include, but is not limited to, using clips, audio files or out of context quotes to mock or make fun of another community member. using multiple accounts to evade channel bans, insisting users harm themselves in some way or other unwanted inappropriate comments. If you are feeling the need to self harm, please consider contacting the suicide hotline at 1-800-273-8255.

Threats

Do NOT threaten other people. This includes threats of harm to others, threats of swatting, threats of doxing, threats of DDoS and threats of harassment. We understand that threatening to kill someone in a competitive game is part of gameplay, but at no point should anyone wonder whether you're joking, and do not make those kinds of threats outside of gaming context.

Impersonation

Do not impersonate staff or other community members. Having similar names is not automatically impersonation but should be avoided especially if one of the users is owner, moderator or other "known" personality.

Ban Discussion

The discussion of bans, though not strictly prohibited, is highly discouraged as it may provoke heated responses from some chat members. If you have any questions regarding bans, please contact Tom or a chatroom operator. If it is your ban you wish to discuss and you have a complaint about it, please contact Tom.

Religion and Politics

Religion and politics are always the topic of debate in the modern world, however, they are also a large soft spot for a lot of people. This makes religion and politics a bad topic for the chatroom as we have users from around the world. Please refrain from such discussions, even in jest, in a public setting.

Complaints Against the Show

If you have any complaints, please do not bring them into the chatroom. Instead, consider contacting Tom or a chatroom operator privately.

Mature Topics

At times, the chatroom discussion may turn to a mature subject. Mature topics are not prohibited in The TomBobBlender Show chatroom, so if you're a parent, we advise carefully monitoring your child's access to the chatroom and even joining them there. To make it easy to participate in the chatroom.

Rational Discussion

We encourage rational discussion at all times and usually allow conversations of discouraged topics to run if everyone is being civilized. However, if people seem to be getting upset, depending on the circumstances at hand, we may either ask the offended users to look away from the chatroom for a while or we may ask for the conversation to be ended and the subject changed. Please understand that this, in most cases, is not because the subject isn't allowed, but because it is causing problems.

Community Rules

These are the official rules for The TomBobBlender Show Community. Become familiar with them and abide by them at all times. Any behavior that contradicts what is stated is subject to infractions or removal, temporary or permanent, from the community. Remember, by participating in our public chat, you have already agreed with everything stated herein. In all situations, the stream owner has the final say in all matters.

Infraction System

We employ a three-tier infraction system for all users in the community. They affect you globally (regardless of the streaming platform in which you are communicating) and are administered daily. Once you reach your third infraction, you are removed from further communication with the community at large for at least one hour. The duration of your removal may be increased or decreased based on review from our moderation team which may be influenced by a repeated behavior or the perceived intentions of them happening again. It is very unlikely to be in excess of 24 hours, as we believe your intentions to improve are motivated. It is also possible that a delivered infraction may be rolled back or removed entirely if the moderation team determines it to be met in error, within reasonable context or simply forgivable. All infractions, forgiven or not, will be documented on your permanent record for future reference and referrals.

Inappropriate Language

Inappropriate language, meaning any language that is commonly found offensive, is not tolerated. Measures have been taken to ensure common such language is taken care of automatically and you will be removed from the community for any infractions of this rule. For a specific list unacceptable language, click here. The infraction process is automated.

Excessive Caps

We understand the varied levels of excitement our community can have especially in reaction to events happening on stream. While we allow most situations where a user may speak in all caps, it is generally frowned upon and interpreted as rude and obnoxious. You will be penalized with any line of text that carries caps in excess of 35. The infraction process is automated.

Flooding

We highly encourage you to share your thoughts in full and complete sentences. Please avoid microtransaction responses especially in a series of one- or -two-words. Our flood barrier allows for no more than 5 messages in the time of 3 seconds. The infraction process is automated.

Repeated Lines

We know how important is it to be sure you're heard in an active community. However, there is no need for you to "copy and paste" your message. The stream host actively reads every message and your excessive posting pulls attention away from the legitimate attention of others. You will be penalized for repeated lines in excess of 2. The infraction process is automated.

Excessive Emoji

We appreciate emoji and the expressions they provide. They often enhance or replace words and emotions by saying less. However, how emoji barrier will not allow them in excess of 10 per line. The infraction process is automated.

S P A C E D Wording

Please communicate your language in words represented in their solid, non-spaced forms. Any word in any context will be infracted. The infraction process is automated.

Elooooooooongated Characters

Please minimize your excitement of elongated repeated characters to no more than 10. The infraction process is automated.

ASCII Art

At no time is ASCII art acceptable in our public chats. We welcome this unique form of communication in designated rooms on our Discord server.

Disruptive Behavior

Any behavior that causes a significant amount of unrest or disruption in the community is prohibited. A few examples are bullying, flooding, spamming, and flaming, though such behavior is not exclusively limited to these categories.

URLs

The posting of URLs in the community chatroom is limited to approval by a chatroom operator and must be "safe for work." You are responsible for the content on the website at the posted URL.

Right to Privacy

Every user has a right to privacy, so posting or requesting sensitive information of another user is prohibited at all times.

Software Piracy

Due to anti-piracy laws in the United States, the sharing of warez and warez sources is strictly prohibited in this community.

Accounts and Nicknames

While in the community, you may not have any alternate accounts designed to disguise or deceive and only one account may be active at any given time. The use of multiple accounts to evade bans is never allowed and any abuse associated with proxies or vhosts will be reported to the chat network staff.

Cohosting

Thank you for your interest in cohosting with us. We handle all of our co-hosting efforts through Discord. For a complete list of our rules and sign-up procedures, please visit our #rules page from within our server by clicking here.

Notes for Automated Bot Infractions
