Discord

The TomBobBlender Discord Server is a chatroom community hosted on the Discord service. It is currently host to a variety of channels featuring many discussion topics. The Discord server serves as a supplement to the stream's current chatroom hosted on the Rizon IRC network. While the server is a current hotspot for community discussion, stream integration will remain, primarily, on Rizon, though the stream's chat bot, Banondorf, has been added to the Discord server for broader integration and convenience.

Discord Leveling System

Our discord is able to track your activity in our server and apply it to your experience points. Each character is equal to one experience point. Certain gains acquire you to a level. The following rooms allow you to gain experience:

Meet and Greet

The Meet and Greet category is the head of the server and the first thing a user may see when they join. It contains rules and announcements as well as channels to meet new and old users.

The #rules channel is reserved for server rules. It is a clear and designated channel for communicating to new users our terms for participating on the server.

#announcements

The #announcements channel is reserved for community announcements. The Beam Discord bot announces TomBobBlender's broadcasts here.

#newchallengers

The #newchallengers channel is reserved for announcements related to new users. The Discord server will announce new users here.

#aboutme

The #aboutme channel is where users may post a brief message to introduce themselves to everyone else.

General

The General category contains channels for general discussion, mostly relating to the community as a whole.

#tombobblender

The #tombobblender channel is used for general discussion. Just like our IRC channel, discuss anything you like as long as it's safe for work!

#asktbb

The #asktbb channel is used for open ended questions for TomBobBlender. This channel is a reference to an old stream segment known as Ask TBB where Tom would answer questions from the viewers.

#ideas

The #ideas channel is used for suggestions and requested features of The TomBobBlender Show and its services.

#promotion

The #promotion channel is used for promoting yourself and your external accounts. This channel is most useful for announcing when you are broadcasting or sharing a project you are working on.

#nintenviews

The #nintenviews channel is used for sharing video game related videos. The channel's name is a reference to an old stream segment known as YouTube Nintenviews where viewers would share links to videos and Tom would watch them on air.

#roleplay

The #roleplay channel is used for roleplaying with other users. Good roleplay etiquette is encouraged here.

#programming

The #programming channel is used for discussing programming and software development, but can also extend to electrical engineering, especially involving products similar to the Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Video Games

The Video Games category contains channels related to video games, including some channels dedicated to specific games.

The #vggeneral channel is used for general discussion related to video games, especially when an unrelated ongoing discussion is occurring in #tombobblender.

#multiplayer

The #multiplayer channel is used for discussing multiplayer games that don't already have a channel. Look for players or talk about an ongoing game.

#friendcodes

The #friendcodes channel is used for publicly sharing Nintendo friend codes with other users.

#pokemon

The #pokemon channel is used for discussing the Pokemon series and its games.

#splatoon

The #splatoon channel is used for discussing Splatoon.

#mariokart

The #mariokart channel is used for discussing Nintendo's Mario Kart series.

#smashbros

The #smashbros channel is used for discussing Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series.

#miitomotopia

The #miitomotopia channel is used for discussing Nintendo Miis and their related games.

#earthbpund

The #earthbpund channel is used for discussing Nintendo and Shigesato Itoi's Mother series. The channel's name is a reference to a typo of the name of the second game's US release, "Earthbound."

The #minecraft channel is used for discussing Mojang's Minecraft game.

The Art & Media category is used for sharing various forms of art and media. Original content is encouraged!

The #music channel is used for sharing and discussing music.

#drawing

The #drawing channel is used for sharing and discussing sketches, paintings, and their digital forms.

#videos

The #videos channel is for sharing and discussing safe for work videos.

#photography

The #photography channel is used for sharing and discussing photographs. Photoshop and photo doctoring may also be discussed here.

#writing

The #writing channel is used for sharing and discussing written works of art including, but not limited to, short stories, novels, novellas, and fanfiction.

#cosplay

The #cosplay channel is used for sharing and discussing safe for work cosplay.

#cooking

The #cooking channel is used for sharing and discussing food and recipes.

#gamedev

The #gamedev channel is used for discussing game development and the many stages and facets of it.

#vgmusic

The #vgmusic channel is used for discussing, specifically, video game music.

#memes

The #memes channel is used for sharing and discussing internet memes.

#selfies

The #selfies channel is used for sharing and discussing personal selfies. Photos of other people are not allowed here.

Fun 'N Games

The Fun 'N Games category contains channels used for conversational games such as "Woul You Rather" and "Two Truths, One Lie." Games are typically played by reacting to the original post with a given emoji.

#would_you_rather

The #would_you_rather channel is used to play the conversational game, "Would You Rather" in which a person asks a question offering two choices with associated emoji and all participants, except for the person asking the question, must react with the respective emoji. This channel is strictly safe for work.

#2_truths_1_lie

The #2_truths_1_lie channel is used to play the conversational game, "Two Truths, One Lie" in which a person offers two truths about themselves and one lie, each with an associated emoji. The other players must then react with the respective emoji to guess which of the statements is the lie. This channel is strictly safe for work.

#never_have_i_ever

The #never_have_i_ever channel is used to play the conversational game, "Never Have I Ever" in which a person makes a true statement about themselves beginning with "Never have I ever". The other players must then react with either a thumbs up or thumbs down emoji to indicate whether or not they have done the mentioned activity before. This channel is strictly safe for work.

#wateryouwearing

The #wateryouwearing channel is used to share what you are currently wearing with optional photographs. This channel is strictly safe for work.

#wateryoueating

The #wateryoueating channel is used to share what you are currently eating or what you have since eaten. Photos are encouraged.

Mature

The Mature category is reserved for Not Safe For Work (NSFW) channels. Channels within this category, with a few exceptions, are marked NSFW and require an age gate to be passed before participation is allowed. For the safety of our younger community members, some channels are further gated by an Adults role which can be obtained by contacting TomBobBlender.

#rules

The #rules channel is an entry-point for the Mature category. Within it are descriptions of the contained channels as well as instructions for obtaining the Adults role.

#talksex

The #talksex channel is a general discussion channel for NSFW topics.

#art-ao

The #art-ao channel is used for sharing NSFW art. Each post must contain an NSFW embed of some sort or be automatically deleted. No photographs or live models are allowed in this channel.

#fanfiction-ao

The #fanfiction-ao channel is used for sharing and discussing NSFW fanfiction.

#roleplay-ao

The #roleplay-ao channel is used for NSFW roleplay and cyber sex. For the safety of our younger community members, this channel requires the Adults role for participation.

#selfies-ao

The #selfies-ao channel is used for sharing NSFW selfies. For the safety of our younger community members, this channel requires the Adults role for participation.

#sextoys

The #sextoys channel is used for sharing and discussing sex toys. Photos and videos of personal use should be posted in #selfies-ao.

#would_you_rather

The #would_you_rather channel is the NSFW counterpart to the aforementioned #would_you_rather channel.

#2_truths_1_lie

The #2_truths_1_lie channel is the NSFW counterpart to the aforementioned #2_truths_1_lie channel.

#never_have_i_ever

The #never_have_i_ever channel is the NSFW counterpart to the aforementioned #never_have_i_ever channel.

#kill_fck_marry

The #kill_fck_marry channel is used for playing the hypothetical conversational game, "Kill, Fuck, Marry" in which a person presents three other players of which everyone not mentioned must choose a person to kill, a person to have sex with, and a person to marry.

Technical

The Technical category contains channels used by bots.

#mixer_chat

The #mixer_chat channel is a relay between Discord and the chatroom associated with TomBobBlender's Mixer stream.

#banondorf

The #banondorf channel is a currently unused channel that may be used in the future for controlling Banondorf.
